Use of e-Government Services

Recently a study by Fessel GfK on the use of E-Government services was published, the results of which document a significant increase in the use of these services: more than 70 percent of the respondents consider E-Government to be positive. 45 percent have already completed tasks fully electronically. Compared to a survey taken two years ago, this is an increase of 137 percent. 80 percent of Austrian Internet users would rather go to the Internet than to the office for agency tasks. More than 60 percent would prefer electronic delivery of notices over postal service mailings. “These questionnaire results within Austria, and the European-wide E-Government-Ranking, show that Austria is on the right path, and everyone benefits,” confirm Franz Morak and Peter Laggner.
